How to play it is pretty straightforward. It works well because it's a Hammerdin, but I don't prefer it. Separately, you can also swap out Spirit for a Herald of Zakarum but this costs you the 125 FCR breakpoint without some major sacrifices elsewhere. ![]() If you are ridiculously wealthy, a 2 Paladin Skills/20 FCR amulet can be subbed in for the Maras, and that would let you wear a Verdungo's Belt instead of Arachnids Mesh for a big DR% boost (41% with Ber'd Shako), but it's entirely unnecessary. If you want to MF, this setup gets you about 300 (which is plenty given the diminishing returns of MF) with virtually no sacrifices. ![]() At a high level with good gear, it should come in north of 3k life. This gives 125 FCR, >10k Blessed Hammer damage, max resistances, max block with Holy Shield, 18/26% DR, and the 48 FHR beakpoint. Pally combat skill GCs, and life or MF small charms.Helm: Guillaume's Face (15% IAS/40% ED jewel).Weapon: eth The Reaper's Toll (15 IAS/40% ED jewel).Merc Type: A2 Nightmare, Offensive (Might aura).Helm: Andariel's Visage (15% IAS/30% FR jewel).Weapon: Insight in an eth elite base (Giant Thresher is technically best, but Thresher is nearly as good and infinitely more common).Merc Type: Act 2 Nightmare, Defensive (Holy Freeze aura).Rings: 1 10 FCR% ring (MAEK here is also nice), 1 free ring choice (BK is the default, or SoJ if you don't use Insight on a merc, but Dwarf Star for Fire Absorb, Wisp for Lightning Absorb, and Nature's Peace for SMRIP are all good techs depending on where you farm).Boots: War Travelers for MF/Silkweaves for MAEK (Mana After Each Kill) if you don't want a merc/Waterwalks for life if you need nothing else.Shield: 35 FCR Spirit in a 45 all res Paladin shield/Any FCR Spirit in any Paladin shield.Weapon: Heart of the Oak/Call to Arms switch.Helm: Shako - Socketed with PTopaz/Ist for MF, or Ber for DR%. ![]() Dex: Do all of your buffs, then get your block to 75%.Strength: Zero, your Enigma base should be wearable at zero strength.Max Holy Shield last, with all quest points the build is done at level 96. 20 Blessed Hammer/Concentrate/Vigor/Blessed Aim/Holy Shield. ![]()
